I can’t wait to see what June has in store! While this year might not seem as exciting as last year I am loving every second of it. I definitely have a new appreciation for a “normal” life. Buuuut we’ll see how long that lasts before I start scheming for more extended travels 🤪
The final week😮! After 4️⃣8️⃣ weeks of The final week😮! After 4️⃣8️⃣ weeks of traveling the world I am back home in the United States!

It’s hard to believe that last Monday I was hiking in southern Spain in 80 degree weather and now I’m in Chicago and it’s still in the 40s here 🥶

This final week started in Granada, then I took a bus to Málaga on Tuesday, flew to Paris on Friday and flew to Chicago on Saturday. My first meal back was cheese fries and an Italian beef sandwich from Portillo’s and it was absolutely delicious!

While I didn’t make it to 52 weeks around the world I still had an incredible year and can’t believe I really did that!

I still have a lot to share from my year and plan to continue traveling as much as I can. In the meantime I’ll be moving back to Indiana after living elsewhere for six years!

I’m not too sure what this next year will bring and for the first time in my life I don’t really have a plan, but I can’t wait to see what life brings my way.

Week 4️⃣7️⃣ of traveling this beautiful 🌎 in 🇵🇹 and 🇪🇸!

Monday @kylestanley13 and I enjoyed our last day in Lisbon by taking the train out to the beachside town of Cascais then taking a little sunset sail back in Lisbon.

Tuesday we took the train up to Porto and walked around the cute town center and riverside areas.

Wednesday we went on the most amazing wine tour in the Duoro Valley! I simply couldn’t believe how beautiful it was out there!

Thursday Kyle headed back to Lisbon to catch his flight home and I did absolutely nothing 😅

Friday I flew to Spain and spent the weekend in Granada! It’s such a beautiful town in Southern Spain and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to visit a smaller city in Spain.

The snow capped Sierra Nevada mountains peaking out behind the Alhambra is a breath taking view ❤️

On Monday evening I flew from Bali to Singapore and spent the night in the Singapore Airlines business class lounge. Tuesday morning I almost missed my flight even though I had a 10.5 hour layover 😅

I flew into Frankfurt, Germany and just hung out at an airport hotel for a few days taking a break, doing laundry and adjusting to the time zone.

Friday I flew to Lisbon and met up with one of my best friends from college! We had so much fun in Lisbon just walking around and taking in the sights, plus we went on an amazing food tour Saturday night. I quickly fell in love with Portugal and highly recommend everyone take a trip here!

Thanks so much for traveling with me @kylestanley13 😊

Week 4️⃣5️⃣ of traveling the world 🏝️ Week 4️⃣5️⃣ of traveling the world 🏝️🇮🇩

Posting a little late because life happens, but my last week in Indonesia was amazing. I dove three days around the Gili Islands, spent time exploring Gili Air then took a ferry back to Bali.

I spent two luxurious days at the Grand Hyatt Bali relaxing and recovering from 10 days of hostel dorm life. Life’s all about balance but it’s still so funny to me to stay in a $10 dorm room one night and a $200 hotel room (for free on points) the next.

I miss Indonesia and island life already even though I’m having an amazing time in Portugal right now. Until next time Indo 😘

Week 4️⃣4️⃣ of 52, just 8 weeks to go on t Week 4️⃣4️⃣ of 52, just 8 weeks to go on this crazy adventure.

I started the week at the most relaxing hotel I’ve ever been to, Alila Manggis on Bali. There was nothing around and nothing to do besides lounge by the pool. We went on one tour to Ubud but after the first waterfall and lunch we had terrible weather and didn’t see anything else.

On Wednesday Andrew flew to Nepal to trek in the Himalayas so I’m officially a solo traveler now! I took a ferry to Gili Trawangan which is a small island off the coast of Lombok in Indonesia. The island is small and there are no cars allowed so people use bikes and horse and carriages to get around.

The contrast between a really nice hotel one night and a hostel dorm room the next was pretty funny. Luckily my hostel on Gili T was really nice and everyone was so friendly.

I rode bikes around the island, watched the sunset, went snorkeling and had some great food. Other than that, not much else goes on on Gili T besides partying. It’s a perfect island paradise for backpackers.

Week 4️⃣3️⃣ of 52 was spent in Bali! We st Week 4️⃣3️⃣ of 52 was spent in Bali! We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Bali for a full week and had so much fun relaxing.

We went on a sunrise bike tour on Monday, Wednesday was Nyepi a silent holiday, and Thursday we went on a day trip to Nusa Penida.

We saw some iconic landmarks during our tour and got to snorkel and free dive too!

On Saturday we switched hotels to the Alila Manggis in East Bali. It’s absolutely gorgeous here but there not much around and nothing we can really walk to.

Both of our hotel stays on Bali were free thanks to credit card points! If you missed my stories yesterday, I shared a new blog post about how I got 55 free nights at hotels this year. If you want to learn more click the link in my bio!
